Baldur's Gate 3 Walkthrough

Honour Mode Guide

Just a quick note, this is an Honour mode playthrough, not a 100% trophy guide. The point of this guide is to get you through HM. I'll assume you're familiar with the game and not trying HM your first try, but will try to give most details so nothing is missed. In general I won't mention looting unless it's specific gear we need for our build. Loot as much as you can to keep the money flowing, since things are expensive in HM.

General tips

  • Loot a lot at the start, need to build some wealth
  • You can usually leave 1 character out of range or in camp, then if the other 3 die, rez them with Withers. It's usually not necessary, but some fights I find it to be useful (Inquisitor Wwargaz..) as it lets you kill some of the minions in the fight, then come back at full strength to take on the boss.
  • Use guidance as much as possible, it's free

How This Guide Is Structured

Every chapter mirrors the in-game flow so you always know what carries forward and what can wait:

  • Quest Tracker callouts flag when to start, progress, or close critical questlines.
  • Collectible Alerts highlight legendary gear, tadpole upgrades, and missable lore.
  • Decision Breakdowns summarize major alignment choices, approval swings, and narrative consequences.
  • Boss Sections detail recommended parties, resistances, and turn-by-turn openings.

Follow the whole route for a single, spoiler-aware 100% run or cherry-pick the sections you need.

Suggested Completion Route

  1. Prologue – Escape the Nautiloid
  2. Act 1 – Wilderness & Underdark
  3. Act 2 – Shadow-Cursed Lands
